A lot of acne curing diets proscribe all sorts of rules and regulations over what you can and can't eat. Many believe that the only way to total health and cured acne is through a complete vegetarian (if not vegan) diet. Others allow more, but still proscribe cutting certain foods out that I think are un-necessary subtractions.

Here's what I feel. There are a few things you should definitely remove from your diet, or at the very least severely limit. Besides the following list of poison foods, anything goes (with some minor explanation).

Try and cut out or minimize the following foods.

PASTEURIZED DAIRY PRODUCTS

Some feel that dairy should never be eaten, I disagree. Really, you need to avoid pasteurized dairy products, and most supermarkets and grocery stores carry pasteurized dairy. Companies pasteurize their milk for shelf life, not for your health. Pasteurization removes the elements within milk that cause it to decompose.Yet, digestion depends upon decomposition. Your body can not properly digest pasteurized milk products, causing the milk to convert into sugar instead of utilizing its helpful nutrients.

If available, drink raw milk. It's not just safe, it's actually really good for you. Check here to try and find somewhere around you where you can get raw milk. When I went on my search to find raw milk in Philadelphia I found nothing but helpful assistance, and it took less than a week to find everything I wanted.

REFINED CARBS

These are white flour products, white rice, white potatoes and refined sugar. These are all overly processed, man-made ingredients that your body neither recognizes nor can properly process. They serve to spike your blood sugar, compromise your total health, and feed Candida. Excessive sugars and starches get converted in the liver to sticky fats that clogs your bloodstream, raising your LDL (BAD) Cholesterol. They're empty "food", nutritionless and pointless.

HYDROGENATED and HEATED OILS

Much like pasteurization, hydrogenation degrades food quality and digestibility just to add shelf life. Hydrogenation pushes heated hydrogen into the oil to make it last longer, though in the process your body loses the ability to recognize and process the fat. Hydrogenated oils clog your body's pathways and disrupt many vital functions. Overly heated oils become free radicals and damage your body. If nothing else, try and keep the fried foods to an absolute minimum.

JUNK FOOD, CAFFEINE and ALCOHOL

I shouldn't even have to write this here, it's just a reminder really. Soda, chips, candy bars, etc. Most contain key acne aggravators, not to mention they're stuffed with other artificial ingredients and that wreak havoc on your body. Alcohol and caffeine are obvious problems as well; if nothing else they both mess up your body's internal rhythm too much...
